What jobs need doing on an allotment in March still depends on the weather. It can be pretty variable at this time of year.
If it’s mild enough you can plant out your onion and shallot sets. If you fancy asparagus later on now is the time to start an asparagus bed from crowns. A couple of weeks in to march is the time to plant out your early potatoes. It’s the time to sow beetrrot, broad beans, early peas, early sprouts, leeks, lettuce, radish, parsnips and early turnips.
You can also start tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers in a propagator or in the greenhouse
You can also start summer cabbages, cauliflowers and early carrots under cloches
